What is the flashing orange S light on my dashboard. P reg astra 1.6 AUTOMA?

Can any one tell me please what is the flashing orange S light on my dashboard. It came on today, at the same time my car was REALLY sluggish, to the point where I thought it was going to stop!

could also be if you have a sports mode in the auto box normally a button on the shifter

Ohh, it could do. However it has been in the garage and due to go back again, as it keeps stopping when it shouldn't.

Could mean it needs a service when was it last serviced properly
