No input through scart socket on Bush Tv?

No input through scart socket with freeview or playstation just a glimpse on connection then straight into a rolling raster. Any help would be appreciated. (Model No BTV180stil).

First try swapping the SCART lead.

Then check that the output of the input Device matches that of the TV SCART socket. e.g. Both set to Composite (sometimes called PAL) or both set to RGB.
