Any clues what to do to get my brother XL 6562 to feed fabric. It appears the dog feed are only moving in an up and down motion rather than up and down and back & forth. This machine has been sitting for a good many years and I just got it from a friend, so could it be it just needs oiling some where??

Hello Melody,
Get some WD40 and spray unbder the teeth on all moving parts, make sure you have your stitch length set properly, if thatb does not work you need to get it adjusted by any sewing machine shop.
