Hotpoint Clothes Dryer Model NJSR453EW2WW?

The 5 year old Hotpoint electric clothes dryer now takes over 3 hours to dry a full load of wet towels. Do I need to replace the electric heating element to have it improve the drying to the way it originally worked?

Hello,

First thing to check on a slow drying dryer is the vent. You have to make sure it's good and clear. After that, I believe your dryer has two heating elements so it's possible one is no good. I would check both with an ohmmeter.
