=my zafira automatic i went under a bridge and there was a larage puddle i assumed i could make it got half way through engine cut out managed to restart ,the car now only drives at 15 mph, water was up to top of bumper,awful rattling noise, no popwer , is this car fixable???

hi sandra,sounds like you may have sucked water into the cylinder bores this causing the engine to hydraulic.what i mean by this is the pistons in the engine are full of water,water will not compress so something within the engine will bend or break,hard to believe that water can cause so much damage if this is the problem then the engine is most probably beyond repaair,have a look in the air box for signs of water this is always a good clue hope thus helps
