What is causeing the rearend noise in my 601 ford tractor?

I hsv a 601 ford tractor and it makes a knocking noise in the rearend when driven down the road and not in a pull. It seems to have slack. Is this a big problem or should it be repaired imm.//////////////////////////Thnx-Gene

I've come across this before, it's caused by the leprechaun falling asleep or tripping over on his wheel, & being thrown upwards and landing hard on the bottom of his run. Have you been feeding him regularly?
