use a concentrated vinegar solution (1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water) and leave in the iron for 6 to 8 hours (overnight works best). Remember to leave the iron flat, on its sole plate.
After letting the solution work for 6 to 8 hours, heat the iron to maximum and use the self clean/ anti calc function. When empty, fill the iron with water, and repeat self clean/ anti calc function two more times.
