Finally managed to change my cmos battery in my advent 7081. For those struggling to do this you will need to remove the keypad and protective under plate in order to get to it. You will then see the motherboard with two visible connections. The battery, as you look down at the board is the connection to the right hand side. The cmos is under the remaining metal plate, this I did not remove. I removed the old battery connection of and re-connected with new one. Gently pull out the taped old battery and just slide under the new.
