Rear seat catch has closed when seat not engaged and small spring come out how do i get to the lock mechanisam?

Keni-dot-Watson, any chance I could have a picture of the catch. I've had the same problem with my rear seat catch. I've manager to take it off, and when I did it was all lose and all the bits fell out of the casing. I'm about 65% of the way to fixing it, just stuck now...

you can fix this yourself. the seat cover near the door is just pushed into a plastic channel. pull it out beside the catch. on the part of the catch facing the back of the car there are two big bolts, torx I think. undo these. On the top of the seat there is plastic trip around the release button. carefully remove the trim, it is fragile. You can then take out the whole catch. what happens is that the long spring jumps out and jams the mechanism, nothing is actually broken. I have photos if you want them
