Goodmans GTV30WLCD. Flashing yellow light, ticking sound?

Hey there people, I currently own a Goodmans GTV30WLCD and yesterday the TV just turned off with everything else staying on. So i just thought it was the fuse and replaced it. After replacing it, the yellow light on the front on the tv started blinking yellow and a ticking sound was coming from the PSU.

After extensive research into what the problem could be, I found that this only happens when there is a power cut (which has left me to question my plugs) and either need to replace the PSU or replace the diodes but I really have no idea what i'm doing and i'd rather not allow a reapair do it and over price me for what it should be.

Can anybody shine a light in my direction and help me this problem, i want to watch TV :P.

Thanks, Dan Courtnage

If you have knowledge of circuits, fault finding expertise, instruments and tools, then you have a good chance of finding something that has gone short circuit and replacing it. Then you have got to find a supplier of parts.
The only answer is to take it to a qualified repairer.
