how do i change automatic gearbox oil?

i have a 1999 land rover decovery auto i think it needs a oil change because its slow to change gear when
cold is there a reason for this.when at normal temp its fine what fluid is needed and is there some sort of filter inside that might need changing many thanks

how do you turn your vehicle upside down lol

believe it or not but this gearbox when operating slow will run great on brake fluid. Simply lay underneath and open the transmission drain plug 19m and empty the fluid.

Turn vehicle upside down and refill with an equal amount to what came out, then refill the gearbox with the brake/hydrolic clutch fluid. (There is a filler for the transmission under the bonnet on some models, normally on top of gearbox. It is filter less by the way)

Best if you get yourself a haines manual for it-you'll be amazed at what you can do with one........
