How can I fix my Indesit washing machine WI 121?

Selector knob on my Indesit Washing Machine WI 121 keeps turning & light flashes twice before light turns off. This happens approx 4 times in a whole turn of the knob.
Indesit want £100 to come out to fix!
Help please!
