Unfortunately I had the same problem with my Polaroid LCD TV. It cost me $500 to fix and three months later my TV would not turn on. The light turned from red to blue but nothing happened so I unplugged the unit for a few minutes and tried again. This worked for about two weeks... never again after that. Another $350 to my TV repairman and it worked for another five months. It is now sitting in the garage because it won't turn on and I refuse to spend another dime on it.
I would be willing to buy yours for a few dollars and swap out some boards and at least try to fix mine by myself. Let me know if you are interested.
