Update sat-nav software?

Is there anyway of updating the sat-nav software on my Nissan Almera 2.2 turbo diesel (03)?
Mine has 2 discs but unfortunatly they need updating & Nissan have quoted me alot of money to update.
Is there anyway of doing an update without going to Nissan?
