how can i fix my proline tv/dvd ?

the dvd works fine but when i connect the aerial to the tv it comes up with av1 auto then a no signal message this tv has hardley been used

That is because you have the DVD player powered up and therefore the TV is switching to it automatically. (Its one of the things that SCART does.)

The fix? Turn the DVD player off.
