How to change a coil spring?

Front NS coil spring has shattered on Peugeot 406 Hdi,
2 Ltr. W Reg. What is involved in changing this?

Its a big job you need to remove the leg assembly and use a spring compressor to compress the spring so the top mount can safely be removed there is alot of tension in the springs its also best to replace both front springs
