HOW CAN I STOP THE WATER COMING IN ON MY VAUXHALL CAVALIER?

WATER IN FOOTWELL, LOSS OF COOLANT WINDOWS STEAMING UP
ALANLACY2105@HOTMAIL.CO.UK, December 2008
Hi Alan,

My L reg 1.8i with 198,000 on the clock has started to collect water in both foot wells.

I park mine facing down a slight incline, & when it rains I find the water.

Until I find where the water is coming in, I cut out a carpet square in both foot wells & let any water drain from the drainage holes

When I want to use the car, pop the plastic floor plugs in, replace the carpet squares & off I go.

Bit of a performance, but the old lady still gives between 35 & 40 mpg & doesn't require any oil between 10,000 mile services.

I know the seats aint the most compfortable, but the ride is nice.

I'm trying to match that M.P who's Cavalier has got 250,000 on the clock, much to his girl friends ( One Of The Cheeky Girls ) disgust.

On a warm sunny day open the windows & roof it soon dries out.

Hope the above is some help
