The dryer wont dry the clothes, yet the washing machine side works okay. Does anyone know if I need to change the heater element or the thermostat?

it could be any number of things , from the fan motor to a blown thermostat / heater or the cold feed valve to the condenser could be faulty , hotpoint wd are prown to wires breaking on the heater fan motor conections so i would take the top off and look for any broken wires etc
