How can I fix my Dyson Hoover DC14 - Serial Number 172-UK A 29507 ?

It has stopped working - there is no power
I also have a Dyson DC03 Absolute hoover - Serial number 034A 524541 which also does not work with no power. I think the motors have packed up or need new brushes, can someone please help?

The weak link is usually the integrity of the mains cable. Over time it gets constantly stressed by pulling and little by little the connections get wrecked until the motor stops.

Your fault(s) may well be due to the motor(s) but it's easier, quicker and cheaper to check the power cable (and eliminate it) before anything so drastic as motor repair or replacement.

Next is on/off switch - then the motor.
