We have been using our Bosch 2240Maxx on a 30 degree wash. I have noticed that it is only taking in cold water when the wash cycle starts. Is this correct?

if its only taking in cold, but working fine then thats what its supposed to do. most modern machines dont use hot water at all, and they still manage a 90C wash. your machine probably only takes hot water on washes over 60C, as most household hot water supplies are around that temp.
