code immobiliser citroen saxo vtr 1997?

i need to know how to reset the code immobiliser. i'v disconnected the battery checked fuses etc. and everytime i go to type the code i press each number and it isn't followed with a beep as it used to do! and now i can't disarm the immobiliser does any1 have any ideas?

i have had a peugeot 106 gti engine put in my saxo vts and the engine wont start think its the immobiliser, how can i sort it.
