How do you descale the Stirella iron. Mine is making marks on my clothes and when I look at the base of the iron I can see a scale build up. The instruction say that you should not use any descalers.

I was told by Domotec that you should set the steam to maximum and the iron sole plate to minimum. This will cause water instead of steam to come out when you press the trigger and will flush away any deposits. I tried it and got a load of brown scum come out so do it over the sink. You will probably have to clean the sole plate afterwards as it get covered in the scale.

Unfortunately it doesn't stop the iron being rubbish - mine has broken after just 18 months.
