How can i fix my Matsui TVR 185?

My tv only records the picture but no sound is recorded. The previous recording can still be heard with the new picture.

Not sure about this set be symptoms suggest the vcr erase head or erase head circuit isn't working.
May just be the plug is not making contact with the head and if so would remove the plug and solder directly.
