Hotpoint Aquarius+ earthing as soon as turned on and tripping fuse?

as soon as power is turned on at plug it violently trips the fuse in the fuseboard, any ideas

Just to add to your query- I've got a Hotpoint FDW80 that does the same thing when I shut the door, as though there's an electrical fault within the frame. Reading all the websites I think I'm getting rid to be safe. And never buying Hotpoint again!
