There was a repair kit brought by REALISTIC called an audio&video repair kit,which came with a plastic holder to hold the broken tapes in position while splicing the broken tape together,it also icluded a hardback razor and splicing tape to suit beta,vhs
leader tape.I still have 2 of these kits now and they still are good value The price when I bought them was £4.00.They were being sold by Tandy at the
time of purchase.
