Does your mower have ignition points ? , if not you have electronic ignition ...... these usually have two leads going to a spade connection on the coil , the purpose of these leads is to ground the coils live side , thus stopping the engine [ they are interlocks to the controls ] if your mower has one of these leads loose , and touching any metal part the mower will not start ! ...... alternatively your coil may be faulty
