my home computer is working fine I think but when I go into my program folder or anywhere else, the majority of the icons are really faded in color like there is somthing wrong with one of my major system programs. my system is running windows ME what do I do?

Are the faded icons for programs which you use infrequently?

I think you are describing the way Windows will try to highlight the programs which you use frequently and make other icons less prominent. This is designed to help you quickly start the programs you use most.

If I am right, nothing is actually wrong.
