renault trafic 1.9 sluggish at times?

My trafic 1.9 100swb van goes from being ok to the warning lights on dash comeing and having no power at all in any gears or just spluters along ?
Garage says it is air censor £120.
Is there anyone who can back this up please before i waste my money ?

hi i had the same prob when i first bought mine it was the dump valve on the turbo

try cleaning the egr valve, it worked a treat for mine.

just replaced my air sensor as i am having the same problem, loss of power below turbo,its still the same now, no change!!
