How can I fix my van as I cannot get it to go into reverse gear?

I have a Ford Transit 300 Diesel Van and I now cannot get it into reverse gear but all the rest of the gears are working perfectly. Can you please help me and let me have your opinion on what could be the matter with the reverse gear.

New gearbox required common fault either doesnt go into reverse gear or wont stay in it. You can pickup a secondhand one now for as little as £50
