Gear box problem Laguna Mk1?

I can get all gears, but have no final drive. The spedo moves when the car is in gear there are no grinding noises.

MORE THAN LIKELY YOU HAVE POPED A DRIVE SHAFT OUT OF THE UNIVERSAL JOINT (NORMALLY NEAR SIDE DRIVE) THE CIRCLIP IS KNOW TO BREAK AND THE DRIVE COMES OUT.
