timing belt?

Punto 1.2 8 V 2002.
Timing belt snapped, are these engines protected against this problem, will there be any damage to the engine?

Hi Simon, your engine is listed as a "freewheeling" engine which means piston to valve contact is unlikely but inspection is required to rule this out
