I was given a brand new shaver for my birthday, problem is it's just too much even with creams/oils. The pain of attempting to shave with it is excruciating. Am I using the wrong grade of shaving paper, or wrong speed setting?

The shaver is a brand new - Black & Decker Ka197Ka Orbital.
