my dyson dc01 vacuum will not work?

my vacuum only works occasionally, i have changed the fuse and filters and the wire is not damaged, please help!

Common fault waggle the wire where the power cord enters the rear of the machine if works then stops you have a broken wire at this point due to the constant bending of the cable. You will need a Torq 15 screwdriver looks like this(*) shape and a couple of new insulated spade connections, cut off where the cable enter the rear of machine (you will only loose about 4" of flex) and remake the connections.
