mondeo 1.8 lx turbo, over heating problem told head gasket shot away.Job intold is it going to be hard to replace or are there easy routes to sorting this problem,or is it a major major problem to approach as in work intold.ANY MACHANICS IN THE CHELTENHAM AREA OF GLOS ABLE TO HELP.

Yes it is quite a major job plus there is nearly always a reason for the head gasket failing.
The head itself will have to be inspected once removed in case it is cracked.
