Before the dryer broke down, I noticed that the drum would pause or hesitate before it turned or rotated. Several minutes later I could not hear the dryer tumbling. I opened the door and smoke came out. It smelled like rubber burning. We checked the belt and it looks fine. The drum will not rotate at all now when you press the start button. Any ideas on what the problem might be?
