No wireless internet?

My belkin is hooked to my modem and I have internet through that to my desktop, but even though there is a strong signal to my laptop I can't get online on the laptop

I can get onto other wireless networks like my neighbors. So that doesn't seem to be the problem

As for a password, I have been using this network for years and it's unsecured so I shouldn't need a pass word.

I just hooked up my friends old linksys and I'm having the same issue.

Start / Settings / Control Panel / Network & Internet Connections / NETWORK Connections.

Right Click on the Wireless Icon & Select View Available Wireless Networks.

When I do this I see four wireless networks - three of them are my neighbours and one is mine - Click on your network to connect.

Good luck...
