How can I fix my Packard Bell iMedia MC 2559 Desktop?

My desktop tower will power up, but makes a clicking noise and then does nothing at all. The fan does come on but that's all. It's a Packard Bell iMedia MC 2559 desktop bought in sept 06. It has a Rio Motherboard. If you require any further info, pls ask me. I'm using a borrowed laptop to send this message. Can anyone help me?

HI, Just repaired my one which was doing exactly the same. The problem with mine was the graphics card. removed and used on-board graphics and works fine. I first thought it was hdd but after trying it in my other pc it was fine. Hope this helps. Steve

I'm the originator of the question. Thanks for your replies - is the hard disk the same as the motherboard?
