my ap 50 will start and tick over for 45 seconds and den dies please help !!

i've been trying to find a solution because i have an MOT soon
do you know if this would fail because of it or not?
if i find a solution ill tell you but if u find one first would be very grateful

also wen u pull the throttle sometimes at random oints do you lose power and then ti cuts out sometimes? because mine doe and m starting to thing it cud be a fueling problem with the pump =/
