Help,is my JVC television fixable?

I have a 28 inch JVC television which has thin black lines, going right accross the bottom of the screen, also about 4 inches of the screen at the bottom has disappeared. Occasionally it will work perfect but doesn't last long before the thin black lines reappear. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks, Cobweb.
If it's only a minor repair, then I might get someone to have a look at it.
Thank you for your help.
Caz.

This is likely to be a minor repair. Either frame IC or a slightly leaky diode or electroytic capacitor in the frame circuit. None of those should be expensive to replace. Fairly common TV fault symptoms described.

Sounds like its knackered mate.
Bin it & buy a new one !!
