sky has bin to connect my hd sky+ to my goodmans tv, the settings on the menu are all white so they i carnt have the hd+ they said that settings are locked down on this tv so they carnt run it throw the dvi on the source/ menu settings of this tv, do you have any knowledge of the lock down switch to turn on the dvi on the menu? as when the sky is on this channel dvi i just get a blue screen.

There are two things that come to mind. First of all it isn't an HD TV - which is isn't.

Even if it could work in conventional mode(s), it does not have HDCP (a kind of copy protection) which the Sky box requires and so I think that you have had it.

In other words to watch Sky HD you need a new (HD) TV.
