my friend is trying to repair his trucks thermostat one bolt was broken he tryed to drill and tap it but it leaked it is an alluminim manifold is there any other way to redill and tap a new hole ? and is there any products out ther that can fill the old hole so he can dill and tap a new hole?

yes you can redrill hole and install a thread insert ..might have to drill housing bolt hole out a bit for a larger bolt.
