How do you change the belt on a Kenmore canister vaccum Whispertone 12.0, model number 116 5561190 and Serial number DE3604428

Hi Debra,

The answer lies under the "Power-Mate" light cover. Press the sides of the cover in and lift off the light cover. Remove the light bulb and the two screws that retain the power-mate cover, and then from the bottom spread the sides of the power-mate cover with a screw driver, this will allow you to lift off the power-mate cover and give you access to the brush and belt.
