how can i fix a dc05?

how do i get the wheels off of a DC05 dyson vacuum cleaner

Just pull the wheels hard enough and they will pop off. Good idea to pull straight along the axis of the axle to avoid breaking anything.

If you look down from the top of the machine and prise the wheels from the side of the machine. You can see that there are two screws (front and back) holding the case together. They are the same as the screw that can be seen. They have a torx 15 head on them.
You will need a long shank bit, they are available at Bunnings, I used the security bits ($50).
Saved $75 plus parts just to fix the broken power cord.

Hi,

Just go to www.dyson-online.com and look at their technical advice section. The site is fantastic! Good luck.

Remove the wheels. You need two flat blade screwdrivers to remove the center insert of each wheel and a lot of force.
Pulling the wheel back as much as possible and you should be able to see inside the wheel.
You should be able with a screwdriver to push the plastic prongs that keep the wheel on.
Pull the wheel off.
Do the same both side.
Hidden inside the wheel space are 2 more screws each side. Remove with hex key.
