why does my toshiba 32ZD26P turns itself off?

The TV (7 and a half years old) turned itslef off while we were watching. It had only been on a few minutes. I turned it off, tried it, it went off after just over a minute. I unplugged it and did the same. Same result. Left it for 15 minutes, same result.
