How do I reset thermostat trip on Bosch LOGIXX tumbledryer?

My dryer won't heat to dry the clothes - this happened before and the bosch engineer showed me a little red override switch at the back of the dryer. Can't quite remember what he did with it though and how he got at it, although it looked really easy. Can anyone run me through what to do please? The dryer is a Bosch Logixx
Thanks

On a Bosch Wt3500 I removed the central back panel, which is a curved panel containing the fan and the heater element. Once the back pannel was removed i vacuumed away the dust. At the top there was a wire with a black housing (roughly size of a golf ball) with a small red button. Pressing that has returned heat to my tumble dryer. (I assume it reset a heating switch)
Hope this helps.
