Got a Digimate L-1715 monitor. Power light and nothing else?

I've got a Digimate 17" model L-1715 LCD Monitor. When you plug it in and switch on, the power light comes on red, but no display. After two or three seconds, the power light dims, but still nothing happens. Any ideas anyone please?

hi try checking the capacitors if this is an ac monitor you might have a blown one ?
