how to replace the belt on my tricity bendix tm 565c?

i got the same size belt as the one that was on the drum but it seems to be to big. not sure what i am doing wrong

push the motor under tension as far as you can and then fit the belt around the drum and the motor shaft.now let the tension go on the motor and the idler wheel will tension the belt.job done.
