epson stylus photo rx500 - message window - service required?

The printer was working fine, now the message appears in the window and it won't print at all now.
What can I do?

I don't have an answer- I have the same problem. The message also states 'Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life.' Does this mean I have to throw the printer away? September 2009.
