how can i fix vertical collapse on a 14" sony tv?

i have a 14 2sony tv that is about ten years old and it suddenly went so that the whole screen is just a bright horizontal line across the middle of the screen. please could you give me any advice as to how to fix it. yours gratefully adam rickard
