Check the ribbon cable which goes from the print cartridges to the to the right rear oif the printer. I had the same problem and tried a new set of cartridges and the same problem. Upon further inspection, I noticed the ribbon seemed loose and a slight tug and it cam off. Low insertion type of ribbon cable. Have to disassemble printer but I believe this will fix the problem.

Refilling the ink cartridges can cause damage to the P6250 printer and to repair it this will need a new P6250 motherboard to be replace inside the printer.

Yah, I have no idea what is up with this.

I just got a new one shipped to me today, and its still saying cartidge error. The cartridges are brand new and the right ones. I took back to where I got it and they tried different cartridges still nothing. I finally got my 2nd one, and am still unable to print one page. Have to say Im not very impressed with this printer, on my 2nd one in less than a month and havn't seen one line of ink on a page yet.
